We stock chains for bar lengths 30cm, 35cm, 40cm, 45cm and 46cm; however, it is important to realise that bar length is only half the story when it comes to McCulloch chainsaw spares. You will find that there are chains with different numbers of drive links in each bar length category. The drive links fit into the guide bar and are the 'toothed' sections at the bottom of the bar.

The chain needs to fit correctly into the bar so that the chain's movement is controlled. If the number of drive links is not correct, even though the bar length is, the chain can become loose and fly off in operation, which is dangerous.

• Chains for a 35cm bar (equivalent to 14") are available with 49, 50 or 52 drive links.
• Chains for a 40cm bar (equivalent to 16") are available with 55, 56, 57,64 or 66 drive links.
• Chains for a 45cm bar (equivalent to 17" to 18") are available with 60 or 72 drive links.
• Chains for a 46cm bar (equivalent to 18") are available with 62 drive links.

There is also an integrated chainsaw bar and chain suitable for most 35cm (14") petrol or electric chainsaws. A 52 drive link chain is included and is already fitted to the bar.
